This is awesome!!! We have been using a text based request to sing system for a while now, and today I just added the finishing touches on the whole thing: I got an iPad to do all the work! I am so stoked to have it here and I think it will make everything so much easier to have it done this way instead of off of a phone. Often times we can even save singer and their contact info so that we know their past songs and also they won' t have to text us their name every time they want to sing, unless of course they are adding someone to their song choice. I am really happy to have the final touches on our request system, and as always, you are welcome to text in early if you need to... We will get you opn the list FAST!!

 Over the course of my life, I have been somewhat pre-disposed to flashy jewelry. I never really liked all of it, but I felt like wearing it made me cool. Well, I now know that wearing cool jewelry DOES IN FACT make me cool. Folks, this is all in jest, but I will say that I have a little fetish with watches, and my newest love are all the varieties of wood watches that exist. One of the first natural watches I saw were from a company called WeWood. The began in Florence, CA and have grown to include a celebrity A-list cliental including The Black Eyed Peas and some other peeps. I personally have most of the Jupiter collection, which is the series following the Chrono. I would like to get my hands on some of the Chrono series, but the Jupiter watches I have, I love. They have a smaller series as well, but they are too small for my wrists and seem to be styled more for the ladies. I am working on getting a huge collection of wood watches, and there will be more posts concerning these. I guess it was in relation to drugs, but honestly, we lost one of the best. I grew up listening to her because my mom loved her voice, and she was very popular during my childhood. I think the movie "The Bodyguard" had her plastered all over everywhere and I probably listened to "I Will Always Love You" a few hundred times before I was 10 years old. Although we don't play her stuff too often, one of my staple songs I use for dances is "I Wanna Dance With Somebody." I have a few different versions and it always hits the dance floor. It is super sad to hear about her death, especially so young and in relation to drugs and alcohol addiction. This is a serious problem in our country, and because of the money, power and accessibility of drugs in the lifestyle of people in the entertainment industry, we lose far more from there than we should. Rest In Peace Whitney Houston.

You may remember a couple months back that us, Guru’s Cafe, and Crave Games, the makers of the karaoke game SING4, sponsored a competition where we gave away a Wii gaming console and some other prizes. She was the very first winner of the Applebee’s Idol competition we had back in 2009 and she has been Rockin’ The Mic ever since. She has one of those boisterous voices that resonates throughout your body when you hear it. Even though Katy was not our grand prize winner the evening of our competition, she is one fo the best singers we have in our area. Winning this National Competition really means something to all of us. Some may consider her an underdog, but the vocals that this girl possesses are some of the best we have ever heard. I am a long time Patriots fan, being that my mother is from Boston. All the major league teams that I like are from Boston because we don't have very many growing up in Utah. I do love the Jazz, but I love Boston teams all around.
The Big Game last night was disheartening, knowing that the Patriots are the better team. I could see that the heart of the Giants was much bigger. Part of me felt disappointed that the game turned for the Giants, especially when there were so many plays that could have changed the game in either direction. IT WAS SO CLOSE!!! I do like the fact that it was nail-biting until the last play, and I love when duals come down to the last couple seconds. It always is a testament to a true winner when it is close because it is just that much more that they gave to get the win in the end. Giants fans, congrats on a great win. I put as my Facebook status "Good Game Pats, Good Game Giants. You are all winners, cause you're RICH!!!" I think in the end, playing in the super bowl and getting a nice little bonus for that makes it awesome, in or lose. If you aren't happy with the outcome as a player, just dry your tears and disappointment with millions of dollars! Haha! Our Super Bowl tradition is to watch the game while eating Wingers Sticky Fingers, Potato Skins, and Wings. I LOVE their sauce, and some new members of the party last night were very stoked to get initiated into the tradition. We then later had Navaho Tacos and cake and ice cream to celebrate my wife's birthday. All in all, despite the loss of my Pats, it was a wonderful Super Bowl. PS, the Halftime Show Was AMAZING!!! Madonna was on her game, not the biggest fan of Nicki Minaj, but the VISUALS, LIGHT SHOW, and STAGING was seriously OFF THE HOOK!!! I have been inspired to be a better visual person during performances. What a gorgeous display that was. Way to bring the heat Madonna! She is definitely getting some money for album sales and such. Cee-Lo and LMFAO on the stage as well. SO SICK!!!  We are again happy to announce yet ANOTHER Karaoke Show we have recently started. Pizza Pie Cafe has got a seriously AMAZING location in Logan, UT and the crowd is ready to Party! Honestly, this has potential of being our best show we have. The restaurant is HUGE, the atmosphere is very high energy, and after the first week, we can tell that it is going to blossom into something incredible. We are currently in a smaller side room, but if all goes well, we may expand it into a full blown stage, in house sound, and lights. We obviously don't want to get the cart before the horse, but we have high hopes for a show that has this much potential. It is a college town, a young, energetic crowd, and there is a GREAT DEAL on some Real American Pizza, Pasta, and Salad. We are VERY STOKED to say the least.
In karaoke world, the biggest limitation to any show's crowd size and luster is obviously the venue size. While there is a trend to have karaoke be popular in a Dive Bar type setting, we pride ourselves in having large crowds, high energy, great lights and sound, and a premium show quality. We honestly feel like we are one of the best karaoke companies in Utah, and even extend that to corporate entertainers, dance parties, and wedding entertainment. That being said, we love it when venues can entertain such large crowds, and we know that if we build the big show up in Logan, that people will come for miles to get their weekly karaoke fix in the valley.
