Are There Any Super Heroes In Utah County?
The answer is an astounding "YES!"
We were absolutely blown away by the amount of people that came to support this wonderful cause. While they are in their 3rd year of this ever-growing event, this was our first year running the main stage & sound for the event.

From the official website, the heart-warming description of the event is as follows:
"Shortly following the loss of her husband Craig Perry to colorectal cancer in 2011, Marsha Perry and good friend Rich Hart, owner of Elevate Fitness & Rehab began thinking of ways to remember Craig and to carry on his kindness and love for others (The Perry family motto is “Love, Play, Live, Pray” a theme you’ll see throughout the event). Together, Rich and Marsha came up with the Elevate 5K, a charity race that would benefit local families who were battling cancer. The first race was held in 2012 and has continued to grow each year."

And in their 3rd year, we must say that this event is something that you don't want to miss. They brought in face painters, massage therapists, food trucks and bounce houses. They had many sponsors who have donated every year and make sure that this wonderful gathering gets the support that it deserves. When we asked to help out, we knew that we would be adding to the grandeur of the event, and having the main stage and adequate sound system was something that the organizers knew was missing. We were ecstatic to make a difference and enjoy the beauty of the battle that still pushes forward and will perpetually, until we find the cure for these terrible diseases.

We must say that watching hundreds of "Super-Heros" crossing the finish line, pushing themselves to fight through the exhaustion and pain in their battle against cancer, was something that we won't soon forget. We want to thank and honor the the 6 benefactors and their families who will be receiving all of the proceeds from this event. We even had The Orem City Mayor, Mayor Brunst, come and join in the festivities!

We plan on being there supporting this cause every year that they have it, because we know that this organization is truly making a difference in the lives of others. Thanks again, Marsha and Rich, for allowing us to take part in such a momentous event!

The finals are this Tuesday!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the karaoke competition has one last night in and the finals are finally here. Tuesday Night, one amazing singer is going to be walking away with an iPad Mini from Rock The Mic Karaoke and Pizza Pie Cafe. Your votes will decide the winner! You are not going to want to miss what has been over a month in the making. We have brought it down to the final 12 singers and Tuesday Night will be the final showdown. Make sure to bring your friends, and make sure to come to eat, party, cheer them on, and specifically, to vote. Thanks for all your support!
The show starts at 8:30, the Sing-Off Starts at 10:30!!!

Alright all you karaoke peeps. You may remember a couple months back that us, Guru’s Cafe, and Crave Games, the makers of the karaoke game SING4, sponsored a competition where we gave away a Wii gaming console and some other prizes. Well, we are down to the Semi-Finals and one of our very own singers could win $10,000 BUCKS !!!

Katy Edwards is in the Top 10 Semi-Finalists for the National Competition and it is all based on views and votes. We want to ask everyone to go online and vote for her. About Katy Edwards: She has been singing with us for over 3 years. She was the very first winner of the Applebee’s Idol competition we had back in 2009 and she has been Rockin’ The Mic ever since. She has one of those boisterous voices that resonates throughout your body when you hear it. Even though Katy was not our grand prize winner the evening of our competition, she is one fo the best singers we have in our area. Winning this National Competition really means something to all of us. Some may consider her an underdog, but the vocals that this girl possesses are some of the best we have ever heard.
