I got this email message yesterday, and we are working on having a competition for people to win this game for their Wii, and possibly winning a Wii console themselves. Click links for more info, and check our website with the most up to date information. Thanks! Hi Brady, I'm working with Crave Games, for a new Wii game to try this holiday, Sing4: The Hits Edition. Sing4 is available for the Wii for $39.99 and rated “T” for Teen. Would you be interested in receiving copies of the game for free if you host a Sing4 karaoke night and get people to enter the YouTube contest outlined below? We would love for you to get the word out about the Sing4 YouTube contest and would be glad to coordinate a giveaway so that the local karaoke fans could have the chance to enter. The special Sing4 YouTube Contest concludes January 31, 2012. One grand prize winner will be selected to perform as the Opening Act at the Songwriters Music Series: Chicago edition to benefit VH1 Save The Music Foundation in 2012 plus win $10,000 in cash & prizes. Contestants can choose from four featured Sing4 contest songs by Rihanna, Train, Carrie Underwood and Daughtry. Famous YouTube artists are already getting involved. Videos will be judged on originality, talent and creativity. Please check out the info below for more information on the game. So, while everyone was out getting awesome Black Friday Deals, I was at home, on my computer, getting everything price matched at Amazon. I am so stoked for some of the things I bought, but it also saddens me how weird people get on Black Friday. Buy a few things, and then call it good. People get way to weird. I heard people were camping out since MONDAY on Best Buy locations country wide. For me, I find it easier to pay the normal price so I don't have to deal with the craziness. Check out these links to some good Black Friday Deals.
Apple.com Amazon.com Newegg.com Walmart.com _So, it may seem a little fem-my... but my wife got me onto this little website called Pinterest. It is basically a place where people post pictures of stuff they like, and other people can re-pin it to their own page if they want. I will have a link for you all soon, but I am still waiting for an invite from their servers. I think it is growing super huge very quickly, and will be something as common as facebook. My wife is pretty artsy, so having a Pinterest account is a no-brainer. I think it is especially useful if you are planning a wedding, building or designing a house, or looking for your favorite new fashions. Stay tuned for a link to the things that make me look twice, make me laugh, need to be in my dream house, etc. I think it is going to be a great resource for me in my gathering of things I like. We are all a little too STOKED for our show tonight at The Deer Hunter Pub in Spanish Fork, UT. We hope you will join us tonight from 9pm on for the best karaoke around! invite your friends and join us at Rock The Mic Karaoke in Spanish Fork!
Visit This Page for more details: Show Schedule I got word at the beginning of this week that we had aquired a New Show at the Deer Hunter Pub in Spanish Fork!!! We got excited immediatly becuase there is a show there on Thursday Nights already that is pretty big, and we were approached to get the fun started earilier in the week on TUESDAY NIGHTS!!! Come have a great time and a little happy juice on the day that makes your week seem usually bleak. We know that it will take off, and we will be working with everyone to make it the best show possible on Tuesday Nights. Thanks for all your support, and stay tuned for more shows to come in the near future. Rock On, Utah County!
Show Information: Day of the Week: Every Tuesday Night - 9PM - Midnight or later Location: The Deer Hunter Pub and Grill Address: 2000 North 300 West Spanish Fork, UT 84660 (801) 798-8582 Website: www.thedeerhunterpub.com So last week at the Wing Nutz Karaoke show, we found out that one of the servers there had a massive fire at her home the previous weekend and she lost EVERYTHING. She literally had the clothes on her back. ( I saw pictures of her house after the fire... there was not one thing salvagable) She even lost 2 brand new puppies she recently got, and after seeing their pictures, I was even more heart broken for her. We decided to take up a collection of spare money for the evening and promised to match every penny that was donated. We ended getting about $100 from the crowd, and were grateful for every penny. The karaoke crowd in Orem is seriously one of the best I have ever associated myself with, and to think that people were so generous in a time of need makes me feel good inside. Wing Nutz and Rock The Mic Entertainment sincerely thank you all for your donations during this sad time. We know that life moves on, but having some help along the way makes things move on a lot easier.
I actually really felt for the girl, being that the childhood house I grew up in was victim to arson almost 2 years ago. I didn't live there at the time, and had most of my stuff out of there, but my father almost everything. He is still in the process of rebuilding, but hopefully it will be done soon, and after seeing the plans and what has happened, it is going to be better in the end. So, I got a call from Mike (aka Kid Karolina) last week and he said that the karaoke show Guru's Cafe (Provo Center Street) has been OFF THE HOOK the last couple of weeks. Every table full, people having a great time, and Rock the Mic Karaoke at it's best. Having lots of people at a show always makes it a good time. We appreciate all our fans, and are always welcome to more. If you are interested in having a GREAT TIME, just come to one of our shows, book us for a private party, or hit us up for your Corporate or Holiday Company Party! We are so stoked to do all sorts of Disc-Jockety events, and are always happy to have a great time! Thank You to all of our wonderful fans!
There is always new music coming out on the scene, and we at Rock The Mic Entertainment look for every opportunity to acquire this music, not only to play, but also versions for karaoke and remixed versions to dance to. Recently, Coldplay dropped a new album called Mylo Xyloto and it is one of the best albums I have heard from them. They released a couple singles, but the one that hit me in all the right places was a track called "Paradise." It showed me the band's ability to branch out and start doing more complex and interesting instrumentals, specifically leaning into more of a club/dance genre. The first time I heard that song and the beginning of the song drops into the intro chorus melody, I was floored. So freaking awesome!!! I am especially happy about the remixed version by Freddie le Grand. It is right on the money! Click here to Watch The Video on YouTube!
I picked up the Steve Jobs biography last week at Costco and have been a bookworm for the last few days. It is a long read, 600+ pages of small print about a man that was anything but small. I think it is interesting how similar that man was to Mozart, Picasso, and Einstein... genius and maniac at the same time. He seriously had some crazy in him, and was a perfectionist if there ever was one. I am in the first part of the book where Steve is building the company, and getting all of his resources in order. It discusses all his employees, the engineers he worked with, Steve Wozniak, and many others along the way that helped him out immensely. He was so mean to all of them!!! but he got stuff done. he had a passion about his work that earned him 256 million by the time he was 25 years old. He is an idol to me, but I also recognize that a tyrant running a company isn't always good either. More to come in future posts on this book, cause it is awesome.
