Just got the news that the famous singer, actress, and songwriter Whitney Houston died at age 48. What terrible news! I guess it was in relation to drugs, but honestly, we lost one of the best. I grew up listening to her because my mom loved her voice, and she was very popular during my childhood. I think the movie "The Bodyguard" had her plastered all over everywhere and I probably listened to "I Will Always Love You" a few hundred times before I was 10 years old. Although we don't play her stuff too often, one of my staple songs I use for dances is "I Wanna Dance With Somebody." I have a few different versions and it always hits the dance floor. It is super sad to hear about her death, especially so young and in relation to drugs and alcohol addiction. This is a serious problem in our country, and because of the money, power and accessibility of drugs in the lifestyle of people in the entertainment industry, we lose far more from there than we should. Rest In Peace Whitney Houston. Fox New Article CNN Article
